The mine tower offers breathtaking views from the top. To get there you first have to walk around 40 metres up a hill and then climb 228 steps. It’s definitely worth the effort, as the scenery from 74 metres above sea level is spectacular!
From the top you can enjoy the views in all directions. You can enjoy the scenery with your family and admire the landscape around Outokumpu, and on clear days you may even see North Karelia Central Hospital in Joensuu 50 kilometres in the distance!
At the bottom of the tower you can visit the old crushing plant and see the enormous old crusher, which really is an impressive sight in all its enormity!
